I just bought this Dell UltrasharpU2312HM IPS LED Monitor few days ago replacing the old CRT monitor. Cool isn't it?

Gunpla Tips: Primary purpose

(photo taken from internet)

Using a primer on surfaces made of plastic is only necessary when making a drastic change of color (going from dark brown to white, for example), because most household plastics are not very porous and are not easily damaged by moisture; or when a long-lasting coat of paint is desired. A primer will reduce the number of layers of paint necessary to completely cover the previous color, and will help the paint make a thorough bond with the surface being painted. Because most paints and primers designed to be used for painting plastics are not water based, an important point for choosing a primer for plastic is making sure the primer's propellant or solvent will not dissolve or warp the plastic part itself (e.g. most common household spray paint will damage polystyrene foam). Both the primer and paint should be tested on a small hidden spot of the part being painted.

HG GS-01 G-Saviour Space Mode (Bandai)

This is my very very first gunpla in my entire gunpla life... Its a 1/144 HG (High Grade) scale kit manufactured by Bandai and cost 1500 yen.

Quick Review:

I've got some photo to show. (I'm really sorry for the photo quality).

Articulation:

TBA

Most of the photos were taken from the internet since I lost the box, manual and remaining runners in there. Totally very disappointing with that..

Also I lost couples of small parts:

- Beam saber effect
- Beam shield effect
- A very tiny little thing that holds the shield (the one that close the hole at the left hand part)

What Is Gunpla??

Taken from Wikipedia,

Gundam Models refers to plastic and non-plastic model kits depicting the mechas, vehicles and characters of the fictional Mobile Suit Gundam universe by Bandai. These kits have become popular among anime fans and model enthusiasts, especially in Japan and in other nearby Asian countries since the 1980s. The popularity of Gundam models increased in the 1990s with North America and Europe being exposed to Gundam through television, video and manga. These Gundam Models are also called Gunpla (ガンプラ Ganpura), a portmanteau of "Gundam plastic model". "Gunpla" more commonly refers to the practice of building Gundam models, rather than the models themselves.

Gunpura... It's kind of weird word to me but that's it.. Gunpla.. Heheh~

My First Post

Hey...

Welcome to my blog at blogspot. Actually, this is not my first blog for the last couple of years (I got several blogs but all of them were dead blog). I'm also contemplating on keeping it updated as frequently as I could.

Everyone know that a personal blog has to have a strange and pretentious title, am I right?? I hope "Asura Gunpla" satisfies (even it not pretentious as you might think it was)

This blogging thing will be used primarily to express my personal gunpla works (might as well put some photos, comics, tips, updates - anything about gunpla).

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Stay tuned
